Steven Universe Snuggle Bug (Pearl x Reader)

(Intro start)

Today was a boring day, giving a small yawn. You had no plans until you opened your mail. You see you got a letter from little Steven Universe invite you to a party. In the letter it read to bring your comfiest pajamas because this was a snuggle party. You decided you would go, you had no better plans.

Grabbing your comfiest pajamas you made your way to the temple, what you see there was a gathering of Gems and some humans, you being one of the humans.

Steven runs up to you with starry eyes offering you a hat to pick from. Reaching into the hat you pull out a paper. Once you grab your paper steven runs to the warp pad using it as a stage.

“Welcome Gems and Humans, today we are having a snuggle party. Everyone got a piece of paper, on reads snuggle bug the other does not, but the songs reads the same! Who ever has your song you have to cuddle! On the count of three Snuggle bugs go hide in the town counters turn the other way! 1...2...3…!”

Looking down at your paper you song reads “Rather Be- Clean Bandit’ Followed by ‘Snuggle bug’ How excited you get to go hide! With that you ran off into the town looking for places to hide. You decided to hide in a large bush that was near the beach it was blooming with beautiful flowers they smelled so beautiful it was almost relaxing to be in here. You heard a few people go by none really grabbing your attention, until you heard Pearl.

“I don’t see the point of this game, it's so silly, I don’t see why steven wants to play such a silly game.” Pearl said her attitude make you give a small chuckle inside your bush. “Excuse me?” She said feeling slightly upset looking down at the bush. “Sorry.” You say from the bush with out coming out.

Pearl quirks a brow wondering who was in the bush, crawling in the bush when she comes nose to nose with you. “H-Hey.” You say with a small blush. “What song did you get.” You asked her. “Well its silly anyways but I got Rather Be,” She said. “Me too… Um… maybe you wouldn’t mind staying here with me?” You said. “Well I dont think the concept of the game is well thought out but I will stay for the sake of steven and not breaking the rules.” She said coming up putting her arm around you.

“We don’t have to cuddle if it makes you uncomfortable.” You told her feeling a bit bashful. “Well this is the rules right? Unless you feel uncomfortable.” Pearl asked you. “No I’m fine. I really feel honored to have such a chance to get a gem like you.” You said. “A-a gem like me?” She asked a faint blush coming onto her face. “Yes, you’re by far the most motherlike for steven, and your so beautiful, and you have the most beautiful voice I have ever heard… and I could go one but I would just embarrass myself.” You said feeling you’ve already made a fool of yourself.

Her eyes sparkled at your words. “You know… (Name) was it?” She asked. “Yes?” You asked. “I never could see why Rose had fallen for a Human but I would like to try.” She said her hand dropping down from your shoulder entangling with your own fingers. “I’d like that too.” You told as a single flower fell from the bush landing on your intertwined hands. The both of you turn towards each other when she gave you a quick kiss on the cheek making you blush bright red and lean in onto her shoulder.
